J AN N A P O L Z I N voiceover artist demos about work news contact
Hi, friends!

My story began in Woodstock, Ontario as a unique, independent, and open-minded kid who was painfully shy but creatively curious. I started singing lessons which led to joining a theatre company in my teens, which in turn led me to the Music Theatre Performance Program at Sheridan College where I graduated as Valedictorian. Then came the big move to the city of Toronto.

Sustaining a great career in musical theatre was awesome and would have been virtually impossible without my husband, our families, friends and colleagues like Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber and the CBC show How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? Yay, Fanna Jannas!

Then I made a human. And with my son came the idea that, while I loved certain aspects of performing, I wanted to do something different that better suited my personality and passions. I loved the idea of creating something from nothing and thus my voiceover career began.

Given my love for reading, watching, and playing epic fantasy and sci-fi adventures, creating characters that live in other worlds with real personalities is extremely exciting to me. Helping an audience believe in the magic of storytelling through performance is an art, and that is what drives me to discover all the ways I can use my creative voice.

In my free time, I can be found social distancing with my family during the Covid pandemic, catching up on various Playstation games that I've missed over the past few years, and creating costumes for fun.

Thanks for visiting, and please keep in touch.
Cheers!
